The Community Foundation-sponsored Youth Enrichment Series (Y.E.S) is in its 20th season providing a live concert experience annually for every Knox County elementary school student. Today’s performer, singer-songwriter-instrumentalist Sarah Goslee Reed, has participated in the annual Y.E.S. concerts from the start in various ensembles.

Today she entertained a Memorial Theater audience of some 600 area youngsters with her Firefly Band, which includes pianist Tom Martin and percussionist Skip Trask. Ms. Goslee Reed engaged the young audience members in numerous sing-alongs while sharing the joy of music during her hour-long performance with the Firefly Band.

The concerts are coordinated by the Knox County Educational Service Center using a generous Community Foundation grant, and additional financial assistance from the Community Concerts Association of Knox County. Every Knox County schools system is invited to bring its students to the Y.E.S. concerts free of charge, other than providing its own bus transportation for the students.
