Community Foundation Executive Director Sam Barone announced, due to school closures today, the deadline for submitting scholarship applications has been extended until Wednesday, February 19. In the event of an extended school closure, the deadline is be assumed to be the next scheduled day of classes.
 
Barone suggested this additional snow day is an ideal opportunity for graduating high school seniors, including those home schooled, to complete a Community Foundation scholarship application, if they have not yet done so. The application is available on-line at www.knoxcf.org under the “Grants and Scholarships” tab. Required grade transcripts and recommendations may be submitted up to one week following the application itself.
