Organizations seeking Community Foundation of Mount Vernon & Knox County funding in February 2013 for projects of $3,000 or more are reminded of the December 31, 2012 deadline for submission of grant applications. The Foundation typically considers major capital projects at its first funding meeting each February, and large grant-seekers generally have access to a greater pool of funds at this meeting than at others during the year, according to Foundation Executive Director Sam Barone.

Small grant applications – those for projects of $3,000 or less – may be submitted up to January 31, 3013, for consideration in February. The Foundation’s Guidelines for Grantmaking and the 2013 Common Grant Application are available on the Foundation website.
